On my way to pursue my career goals

What type of job are you looking for?

For me it is very important to be versatile and mold yourself to acquire the skills that will move you to your success while you can. I can be a receptionist or front desk assistant in an office or hotel, I can also work outdoor like for fruit picking/plucking, factory worker would be also a great job for me.

What nationality are you?

I am a Filipino and easily trained and a hard worker which Filipinos are known for.

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

I have excellent English skills which I acquired from working as a technical service specialist catering mostly western countries. That responsibility requires high standard communication and customer service skills.

What countries or areas are you looking to work in and why?

My choices of countries which are geared for job-seekers and highly known for their best practices related to employment benefits, working conditions, physical workplace and training development programs are United States of America, Canada, Spain, Italy and United Kingdom.

What countries have you worked in?

I haven't been working in any foreign countries but I am emotionally, mentally and physically ready to grab the opportunity and work in any of these countries.

What field do you currently work in?

I worked in a Business process outsourcing as a technical service representative, receiving calls from customers who are needing technical assistance with their equipments.

What fields have you worked in before?

I also worked as a service crew in a fast food restaurant in which was a physically demanding job too and it was a great start for me as a college student.

What qualifications do you hold?

My versatility, confidence and determination at work are the weapons I possess to be successful.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Formal education is indeed a big advantage but does not really make you any smarter than a person who may not be a graduate of a degree but armed with valuable and impressive working skills that is fit for a certain job.

Describe the benefits of working with others

As they say "Two heads are better than one." Working with others as a team helps to save time and it’s much easier to arrange ways to keep the project going without having to work so much ahead of time.

Describe the benefits of working alone

what I love about working alone is it helps me focus because I am in control of what to decide and If I want to radically change something, then I can do it. No one can veto me and I don’t have to run it by anyone.

What was your worst working experience?

When my customer called in for technical assistance of his laptop and then suddenly he was attacked by bears, good thing he was able to run quickly inside his car. I called 911 then.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Don't let stress eat you alive. No matter how complicated things are going on in your work, hold on to your guts as much as you can, because it is worse to regret in the end that you didn't do anything to make things better while you can.

What unique skills do you have?

I am naturally sensitive and observant to the actions of others, I consider it a gift and a necessity.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

A fashion designer, I love to draw and I love to express my style in shoes and clothes..

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

interesting aspects as a call center agent would be combination of speech and the biometric patterns in order to detect and prevent potential problems thus assuring improved customer call handling and satisfaction.
