Nursing in theatresWhat type of job are you looking for? I am looking for a job working Theatres - hopefully in Palma,Mallorc I have been working in Theatres in this job for the past two years - I have a lot of previous experience in Theatres and in other nursing specialitites - particularly with children. I am currently undertaking a Degree What nationality are you? English What languages do you speak (and at what level)? Unfrotaunately only a little French - I have never yet had cause to learn another language What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Mallorca - I went last year for the first time and fell inlove with the island, people, way of life and the climate! So much more relaxed than England What countries have you worked in? NONe yet but I have moved around in England and worked in many different specialities in Nursing What countries do you have a visa to work in? None yet What field do you currently work in? Theatre Nursing What fields have you worked in before? NUrsing Homes - Manager/Matron and Night Sister Paediatric onlcology Boarding Schools Occupational Health Agency work - as a Nurse and in the office as a Manager What qualifications do you hold? RSCN/RN A & O levels studying for a Degree Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Difficult! A good formal education allowed me to develop very good skills as a Nurse Describe the benefits of working with others Learn from each other Suppport if difficulties should arise builds good teamwork and harmony which can help to get things done quicker motivate each other Describe the benefits of working alone Developes one problem solving skills able to oraganise own day and work at own pace What was your worst working experience? finding a guy dead on the floor on a ward balcony - knowing that the other patients knew he was dead but had not told anyone. An expected death but quicker than anticipated and not known abou tby the Nursing staff - I was a Student Nurse a the time What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
