What languages do you speak (and at what level)? my mother language is English I speak fluent Spanish and French (School level). What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I'm looking to work in Malaga, Spain as i'm studying here and i live here. What countries have you worked in? I've worked in England, Ireland and Spain. What kind of personality would you consider you had? I believe my personality is bubbly and friendly. What field do you currently work in? I'm currently working as a waitress at a snooker club in a small village in Malaga province but as the bar is to close in a couple of weeks i'm looking for a new job. What fields have you worked in before? I worked as an I.T. assistant in an office on the outskirts of London, where i then covered a couple of months of reception and admin whilst they looked for new staff. I've also worked in a few bars here and there, nothing permanent just covering when staff called in sick. What qualifications do you hold? I have my E.S.O. certificate for finishing school but I'm still studying at the moment for a marine biology course. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I believe that a level of both is required, formal education gives you some knowledge and skills are good things to have when busy, it always helps to know how to calm an agitated customer down when necesary. Describe the benefits of working with others I like working with others as you can enjoy your time at work and i think it gives a nice feel to a place when the staff are friendly and happy. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone to me only has one benefit, if something needs doing there is nothing to distracted you. What was your worst working experience? When i was working reception, i had a client that wasn't satisfied with his membership and kicked off at the front desk, I'd only been doing reception for one day. I took him to a private conferance room and got him a drink, I also organised for someone more experienced to handle his complaint and i then dealt with his situation in admin by sending him letters of confirmation personaly. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Try and sort the situation out as quickly and efectivly as possible. What unique skills do you have? I think i have a really good relation with the public and i make sure they have everything they need. |
