Fluent English only

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Spain; The weather/climate is beautiful, much better than England!, the Spainish way of life is very attractive to me. I love the people and the culture.

What countries have you worked in?

U.K. only

What field do you currently work in?

Joinery & tiling

What fields have you worked in before?

Joinery, tiling, plastering, maintenance contractor for banks and shops

What qualifications do you hold?

NVQ level 1 & 2 for joinery

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Skills; Skills are better learnt on the job, you learn more skills in practice, you make mistakes and learn from them, actual hands on experience rather than classroom theory in textbooks

Describe the benefits of working with others

Learn from eachother, support each other in a job and working from a team and build friendships with workmates

Describe the benefits of working alone

You can enjoy the extra responsibility that working alone brings.

What was your worst working experience?

Whilst working for a local council in the U.K. working on council owned properties I regulary came across properties used by drug adicts ie used needles.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

How to work well with others especially the customer, gain their respect and trust remembering to respect them and their property to do the best job possible.

What unique skills do you have?

As well as being a qualified joiner with 15 years experience I have learnt various other skills in the building trade. I have also learnt to work with a wide variety of poeles and cultures.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Doing the job I enjoy in exciting new places

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Seeing the completed job after all the hard work; Enjoying the satisfaction of seeing a job well done.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Location! I'm ready to use my skills in a new exciting country

Where do you see yourself in ten years time

In 10 years time I hope to own and run my own joinery company providing first class joinery services to customers
