Sri Lankan What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English - Excellent command ( written, spoken & reading) Sinhala - Excellent (written, spoken & reading) What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Colombo, Sri Lanka. I am a sri lankan, residing close to Colombo city. What countries have you worked in? I started my career as a Secretary in Sri Lanka and gained 7 years continuous experience working in a Private Company in Colombo. Thereafter worked in Doha Qatar for 2.5 years and came down to SL to settle down. What countries do you have a visa to work in? Currently not holding any work visa in an outside country. What field do you currently work in? I worked two years abroad and came down to settle in Sri Lanka. Therefore, I am in the look out for a job in a Reputed Company in Colombo. What fields have you worked in before? Right through out my career I have been a Secretary. What qualifications do you hold? I am GCE A/L qualified and hold a diploma for Confidential Secretaries from the Polytechnic school, Colombo. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Well I would say, formal education is vital for one's personal development. But education & skills together open many different doors in the world of business and could take you to more heights. Describe the benefits of working with others I really enjoy working with others as a team. I believe that enhances quality of my work, by identifying my own strengths and weaknesses as well as to learn many things from others. Describe the benefits of working alone Well, I dont see working alone is beneficial in any way or possible whatsoever. Internal & external communication play a crucial role in the daily routine, as a source of providing information. What was your worst working experience? Having to go through a heap bundle of daily papers to find a missed article, which should have been brought to my superior's notice. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? To take the utmost responsibility and be committed to whatever the deed assigned. Also to be loyal to the superiors. What unique skills do you have? I posses many skills I count as unique pertaining to my field. One of them I feel important, is that I have a strong ability of meeting deadlines with any assigned job. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Well, it was my ambition to be a flight stewardess, so that I could travel the world, meet different people and get to know many different cultures. But, it had always been a dream for me, because I lack an inch from the required height. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Meeting and getting to work with different people with many different attitudes. Communicating with internal & external parties and get to know the happenings in and around the business world. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Well, I am a person who enjoy any job if or if not it is interesting. My policy is to think joy and make things enjoyable.
