Responsible for environmental impact assessment, environmental monitoring and evaluation of operational and new electricity generation projects both renewable and non-renewable; Carrying out environmental regulation in the power sector: Environmental Audit and safety inspection and monitoring of power utilities including stand-by power generators; Specialist for coordinating, monitoring and evaluation of the specified activities the Energy Access project WB/GEF grant: Rural electrification, renewable energy technology marketing studies; cost assessment and economic evaluation and commercial viability renewable energy technologies for rural application; Development of criteria matrix on the possibilities & limitations of renewable energy technologies for rural applications; Preparation of energy service company establishment models in Ethiopia and rural electrification projects; Renewable energy policy & strategy development for rural application (Ethiopian Electricity Agency). Soliciting Fund from international donor and Establishing Rural Electrification fund. Research and development of biomass energy conversion technologies for Biogas & Cooking Stoves Efficiency Project: energy resource assessment, evaluation and selection of energy technologies, utilization of wastes as energy resources, environmental impact assessment of energy technologies, integrated energy planning, economic/financial analysis of energy projects and greenhouse gases inventory and mitigation options. Evaluation and implementation of Energy projects both renewable and non-renewable; Energy and Environmental Systems Development and Modeling; Energy Demand Analysis and Forecasting; Assessment of Energy Supply Options; Rural Sustainable Energy Development and Management for productive use & social services. (Ethiopian Rural Energy Development promotion Center, Ethiopian Energy Studies & Research Center) Responsible for all technical matters of the company. Directing and controlling the construction of fuel stations and depots. Directing and controlling mechanical, electrical and civil maintenance works. Chemistry, Asmara University, Eritrea, 1985. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Theoretical way acquiring knowledge is passive without practice on the ground. So it will be better for us to consider the skill in all aspects and so we can filter those who were not fit in the practical work. An acquiring skill based on knowledge, Volition and practice is the bases for any successful human. Describe the benefits of working with others The benefits working with others is sharing knowledge, culture and harmonization which in turn to create prosperous society which an asset and replica for the world progress. Describe the benefits of working alone The benefits working alone do not give any fruit/result because professionals do work in association with each other unless otherwise there is no enlightenment to be transformed into practice. What was your worst working experience? My worst working experience working with rigid professionals and boss who do not accept team work. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The lesson and wisdom learnt from elderly rural people as well as those working under me with refined experienced skill and management. What unique skills do you have? Working with others as team, extracting and sharing knowledge and skill from the team and use it for development. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? A job which makes me to be happy is a job which gives fruit for development others and services. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? My interesting field of work is energy and environment. The interesting aspect which can be usable for community in turn helps to transform community for better social services and economic development with most effort added can be a replica for the world. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? There is no least interesting in my field. All are important. What is the barrier not to practice my field?
