Both are important reason being Education helps to fill and empty mind with an open one which makes one have knowledge of what a certain field entails and help one broaden his/her scope of thinking and problem solving tactics. Skill on the other hand helps one work more professional, saves time but it has to be coupled with education because technology keeps changing and one needs to keep himself up to date with emerging trends. Describe the benefits of working with others Helps tap on different ideas which helps have a broader perspective when solving problems. Creates cohesion and minimizes risks because when a project team brainstorms different people will come up with different angles of handling different project and helps the organization pick the most beneficial and effective approach. Helps each team member know what his/her responsibility is and therefore reduces conflict of interest which is time wasting. Reduces work load and causes efficiency as each person is delegated a responsibility he performs best though not always as new assignment can dictate a challenge and finally growth. Saves on time and cost due to division of labor Help have a healthy growth of an individual. Healthy criticism and knowing one is accountable to the team helps improve one's public relations skills. Describe the benefits of working alone Increases concentration and saves on operational cost as compared to when the work would have been shared especially for small project Stretching one's capability to the limit as one has to assume several roles at the same time. What was your worst working experience? Working with a team where most members gave excuses for not completing their work on time and doing it unprofessionally. I worked with a team in a project meant to help turkana people in Lokichoggio have alternative livelihood and it was my worst. Some community members were unwilling to do their part and this delayed the project. Some team members were not skilled in the area that was designated to them and were unwilling to learn quickly. i Became very impatient since it was increase the operational cost and thus adversely affecting the set budget. Though we finished the project and some community reaped the benefits if the project it left me drained since i had to assume some of the roles of the team members who were unresponsive and who happened to have been older and more superior than i at that time. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Proper planning, intensive research, progressive consultation and finally a vibrant team yield the best project result and even in times when the project fails the shortcoming is own up collectively. Continuous learning and being flexible to new assignment help improve one's scope of thinking. Finally people are very important and the most valuable 'assets' and ought to be given utmost respect and care. What unique skills do you have? I am a quick learner and very keen to details. I am result oriented more so tangible results. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job is one that will help me broaden my scope of thought, one that allows creativity and support initiatives without feeling threatened and finally one that apart from paying well it equips the employee with not only resources but places utmost interest in personal development which will ultimately have a plus to the firm. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The field is very dynamic and grows very rapidly. Challenges one's faculties to the limit which makes the brain grow. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? It can be disastrous especially when poorly designed and can cause loss of life and for the telecommunication field it can cause huge financial losses when the design engineer mishandled a concept.
