English (good) What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Taiwan, besides looking for new experience, i am interrested to work in Taiwan because it offers better salary than Singapore. Domestic helper/nanny What fields have you worked in before? - office helper (in Malaysia) - domestic helper/nanny (in Singapore) What qualifications do you hold? 1. Passed Senior High School 2. 14 years working experience 3. Basic computer skill Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Having formal education means a person attended classes and passed written examinations. Skill and experience express a person's actual capabilities. For example, with a driving lisence, a person is allowed to drive legally but that doesn't mean he is a good driver. When emergency situation accures, a person with skill has better chance to solve the problem than a person with paper qualifications. So skill is more valuable. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others can be very productive and rewarding experience especially when the others share similar idea and have a very good team work. More people means more good idea, more suport, more things can be achived and done. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone teaches a person to be independent and responsible. It also means a person can focus on her/his own duty and responsibility, solely deserves the credit from the work she/he has done. What was your worst working experience? Working with employer who doesn't set bounderies to her children, and doesn't really use her outhority to enforce rules in order to establish harmony. At the same time having a working parner who doesn't have team work spirit. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? it is not how much i earn but how much i can save. What unique skills do you have? I speak good English and very good with todlers and young kids. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Being able to work with employers who can appreciate my hard work. Allowing me to use the best of my ability and experience and broaden it during my working time with them. So i gain more experience and grow as aperson with them. Last not least, i would love to work with employers who are forgiving and trusting. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? 1. Being appreciated and loved by the family i work with is very rewarding experience. 2. Getting good salary which probably i can't get in my own country. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? 1. I have to leave my family for a very long time 2. The working hour can be very long 1. Not being able to see my family during working contract 2. Still many people do not respect person working in this field 3. Sometimes the hard work in this field is not being appreciated.
