Matt Dull (69.247.142.226) -

What type of job are you looking for?

Looking for a management role in a consulting firm, NGO, educational institution or international organization. I have six years of progressive

What nationality are you?

American

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English (native) Putonghua (intermediate reading and listening, rudimentary writing and speaking)

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Looking to work in Southeast Asia... Very interested in working in Hong Kong.

What countries have you worked in?

China, Vietnam, Laos, USA

What field do you currently work in?

Education: management consulting, information technology consulting, communication/marketing/PR consulting

What fields have you worked in before?

Education, NGO

What qualifications do you hold?

Master of Public Policy - Vanderbilt University, USA (the number two ranked graduate program in the USA) Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Management - Appalachian State University, USA

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I believe that higher levels of formal education acts as a proxy for a persons ability to follow through with plans, make sacrifices in the form of opportunity costs during the time of education with the promise of greater access to work later on in life and provides a foundation for "knowing how to learn and perform research" that is necessary in every job. Jobs rely on a variety of on-the-job training that can not be taught in a classroom and often rely on skills that cannot be expected of future employees until they are in their role with a company.

What unique skills do you have?

My hobbies include computer programming. Have extensive experience with developing commercial and informational websites, databases, graphics, etc. But, I'm not just an IT person -- I have extensive experience as a researcher, project manager, brand manager, public relations person and business process analyst.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Working for an international organization that focuses on development in a social science field.

How can potential employers contact you?

Email or phone is the best way to contact me:
