do i have a crappy job how can i do better?

Thank author of this post/commentSo i work as an appointment setter. I cold call businesses and set appointments for our sales reps to go out and give no cost or obligation competitive bids for janitorial services. I am trying to get more hours there since i am currently only getting 34 hours a week. And the way to do it is to make more appointments how can I find leads without cold calling to set appointments? And i schedule in states like California, Tennessee, Illinois, Missouri, Colorado, Pensylvania, Texas, and other places. Please help

I don't think you got a crappy job. Every job has its outstanding objectives to develop workers on a particular field. You got very good job where you earn. If you want you can have another part time job. Make use of the internet to have a lucrative job. You can google some websites where you can search home based jobs. They are pretty cool and earn from home. Try it.

I have to agree with that. It is not that easy to land a good job nowadays and be thankful for having a decent one. If you are not that happy with your job though, you can try to locate some, and better try online for there are vast job openings that you can consider applying for.

You can also check out some good online jobs that are home based. Working at home can be of many advantage to you.


Being in the sales department is actually a challenging job. I think that this is definitely not a crappy work. In fact, you are lucky because with a very difficult life now, it's good that you still have a job. All you have to do is just to appreciate everything that you have right now. Good luck! And I do hope that you enjoy your job.

I am not sure if you can get out of cold calling, at least in the field that you are in. Some services just aren't made to be marketed in any way than just getting out there and asking, so if you want more hours, you might just have to do more cold calling for a while until you build up more of a repertoire with customers so that you can get out of cold calling for a while.
