Looking for contract - perm position abroadWhat type of job are you looking for? I am a reserve member of the 807th MDSC as the command's Public Affairs Officer. I am searching for a position similar to this exerience. However, in the civilian world I was a consultant and small business owner. I have 20 years of business, managment and strategic epxerience. What nationality are you? American, Anglo What languages do you speak (and at what level)? Eglish. Comprehensive Spanish What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I am looking to work in any country. I am eager to gain more experience dispite the environment, political or economical environment or working conditions. What countries have you worked in? Aside from military delployment I have no other experince. What countries do you have a visa to work in? None, at this time. What field do you currently work in? Public Afffairs, Consulting, Management What fields have you worked in before? Hospitality, Government and Disaster Management. What qualifications do you hold? Inpsections Ceritficate Ace & Ace II, CLS, Field Sanitation, Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Formal education is extremely important - but is only four to six years. Hands-on experience and time is the best educator. Describe the benefits of working with others Team get more accomplished fast. Describe the benefits of working alone Pride in one's work, less politics and bueracracy. What was your worst working experience? Do not have one. Each experience and formed me as a professional. What is the most important lesson you have learned throughout your career? Patiance and temperment are the results of my lessons learned as leader What unique skills do you have? Able to think beyond convention and solve problems with little direction, tools or change of resolution. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Other than owning a vineyard in Sanoma, my dream job would be dependant on location and not the job description. I am more focused on finding a position with a great income and location outside the U.S. Preferably in a high risk area. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Few are in my field and it allows me to expand as a leader. I am able to experience all areas of company and I am not limited to a cubicle or one area of interest. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Few people understand the importants of what I do. Limits job ability. Why do you think military experience is valuable to a position? The dicipline learned and practiced are far above that of a civilian. For me the beliefs in the Army Values extends beyond my service to the unit but is practiced in each position I have had and at home. If we believe it enough to serve something greater than ourselves and put our lives at risk then it is a part of our character and can not be "turned off" but is a part of our usable job skills.
