Built roads, pads, and pits for oilrigs as well as land clearing for right-of-ways

Nationally Certified Heavy Equipment Operator
Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?
Both. I learned a lot in school and had the oportunity to learn hands on from a man that had pushed dirt his entire life. Book smarts are great for general knowledge, safety, and theory. Skills from field work teach you how to actually use those and gain more
What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
Work hard, be thorough, even if youre good there's always better
What unique skills do you have?
I picked up the trade very fast. In school I was awarded the outstanding student award. I am able to see level and grade very easily. I can adapt to situations very well.
What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
I love being able to take any rough terrain and make it into something smooth and flowing
What are the least interesting aspects of your field?
If there is downtime between jobs
