Internship for at least 18 weeksWhat type of job are you looking for? I'm looking for an internship about at least 18 weeks at a small or medium-sized enterprise, which needs an English speaking assistance at his financial or trade section. Contacts to German companies are especially favorable as I'm German and know the German corpoarate landscape. What nationality are you? German What languages do you speak (and at what level)? Native German speaker and a good English speaker. I also have minor skills in French. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I just finished my foreign semester at the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. I already have a feeling for the country and its people. And this is really positive. I enjoy being in Thailand, so I also would like to make my internship here. But I'm also open for experiences in other countries, so please don't hesitate to contact me if you are somewhere else than in Thailand. What countries have you worked in? Germany What countries do you have a visa to work in? EU, Thailand What field do you currently work in? I'm a student. My interests are especially in international trade and financing. What fields have you worked in before? Small and medium-sized enterprises, which are integrated in international trade What qualifications do you hold? I am communicative guy with no fears of contacts. During my working life, I have worked in many companies and I always meet the challenges successfully, so I am sure that I will do a good job at your firm. Furthermore, as I am studying economics, I have an intuition for courses of business. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I think formal education is very important for background knowledge and practical skills are important to get a connection to its real relevance. So I would like to implement my theoretical knowledge into real projects and extract knowledge out of real projects. Describe the benefits of working with others You get social competences, communication skills, and of course, the possibility to meet interesting people. Working in a group can also result in a highly efficient performance as far as the teamwork generates dynamic processes. Describe the benefits of working alone You can focus all your concentration on your task because you don't have to part it with other people; you don't have to wait for somebody What was your worst working experience? At my very first job, as I was 8 years old, I collected golf balls at a golf course and then, the evil "Mower-Man" came and took all my golf balls. But after that, I always enjoy to go to work and being productive and I never had any worse working experiences since that incident. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Never give up What unique skills do you have? I like to meet challenges, my motto: "No task is too difficult for me". When I can identify myself with a task, my ambition is infinite. I accept other opinions even if they are diametral to mine, so I'm very tolerant. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Working with interesting people at an enterprise which is worldwide active and where you always have to meet new challenges and situations. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? I understand the economy as a dynamic process with permanent changes. Economic decisions are no kludges, economic decisions and the resulting changes contain economic, social and system-relevant aspects. This dynamic arouses my interest, you always are confronted with new challenges which requires ideas and decisions which in turn have to be compatible with several economic parameters.
