PHP or Front-End Developer  Blueprint Design Studios is looking for a PHP Developer or a Front End Developer to come on board to help us. We need our PHP Developers to… - Turn our PSDs into working Child Themes using a variety of WordPress Frameworks (Startbox, Hybrid, Thematic, and Savant mostly) - Develop custom WordPress themes -Familiarity with Version Control Software. We currently use SVN and sometimes GIT. - Have a working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator -Know how to evaluate whether an off-the-shelf plugin meets the client’s needs and our quality standards, or if we should build something custom - Develop WordPress widgets and plugins to make the CMS experience better for our clients - Want to learn, push yourself, and make the web a better place - Know that working within the GPL means not reinventing the wheel but adding shiny rims to it. - Be comfortable working within a team environment - Juggle multiple projects, be self-directed, and be able to shift priorities on a dime. - Hungry for new challenges, large and small We need our Front End Developers to… - Create clear, easy, fast pages and interfaces that will make people understand and care about the information. - Caring about the usability and accessibility of a site from a people point of view as well as browser. - Able to generate, manipulate, and explain wireframes as needed to communicate the design to the client. - Slicing up our PSDs into beautiful sites using best practices for markup and style. - Always learning about the latest capabilities and best practices of HTML/CSS. - Ability to develop custom WordPress themes, when a framework just won’t cut it - Familiarity with Version Control Software. We currently use SVN and sometimes GIT. - Have a working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator - Be comfortable working within a team environment - At least be somewhat involved or aware of the evolution of Web Design keeping up with the community - Juggle multiple projects, be self-directed, and be able to shift priorities on a dime. - Hungry for new challenges, large and small Education is not as important to us as real world experience.
