What countries have you worked in?

In Myanmar(Burma)

What field do you currently work in?

As a Medical Doctor of INGO (Population Service International PSI) HIV/AIDS & STI Prevention and Control Programme, TOP Targeted Outreach Programme

What fields have you worked in before?

2 years in TB Hospital, then 3 years as a Trainer of Community Medicine & Research Methodology & Educational Science, then >1 yr Malaria Control Project in remote area of INGO

What qualifications do you hold?

M.B.B.S (1997), MPH (2004), Management Effectiveness Programme by WHO 2006, Certificate on Electrical Power (1986) Computer Microsoft Office, Photoshop, SPSS, Showbiz & Epiinfo 6

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Working for the community development, Formal education can't complete the needs, how to apply the knowledge is key, so academic, practice and experiences make skillful person

Team spirit, knowledge sharing, organizing, develop management skill, develop communication skill, can perform large task,

Short path between decision and implementation, take responsablity, increased own creativity, can move or change quickly, save resources, not to manage the others,

untrust and not transparent among people who are working together

Nothing is important. Changes can occur in any time any where & need to accept it.
