Jamie Plumridge

Reliable, articulate experienced Professional looking work in Thailand

What type of job are you looking for?

I am looking for a job where I can use my exemplary sales and commercial track record whilst enjoying life in Thailand.

What nationality are you?

English

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English (Native Language)

I also speak basic German

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I would like to work in Thailand, although ideally not in Bangkok. Thailand is a wonderful country that provides an alternative lifestyle to the western world. I would love to combine my passion for business with my love for a wonderful country

What countries have you worked in?

I have worked in England, Germany and America

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

None as of yet

What field do you currently work in?

I have been running my own business development businesses for the last 8 years in the UK. My experience has overwhelmingly been within the Technology sector but I believe products are products, and could therefore utilise my experience within any market.

What fields have you worked in before?

as above

What qualifications do you hold?

9 x GCSE's - 2 A's, 6 B's and 1 C.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Definately skills! I have been the top of my career due to my experience. Although I respect qualifications in the commercial world of growing sales and businesses nothing can prepare you better than EXPERIENCE

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working with others is very important. Ideas are born out on people creatively thinking together, sharing experiences and skills to compliment each other. No matter how much experience has it doesnt. not mean they can know everything. Thats why good strong team work is imperative. Plus, working with other people is fun! Theer should always be fun in your job.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Working alone enables you to focus 100% without distraction. However, in sales and business development you should never really be working alone because you should be dealing with customers every day. Working with them to win their business

What was your worst working experience?

My worst working experience has been to have to make people redundant in my last job. It was necessary but not a pleasant experience as I felt responsible for these poeple and their livlihoods.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

To be honest, to treat people in the right way, and to genuinely try to give the customer what they need.

What unique skills do you have?

Professionally, I believe I possess a unique skill to grasp and act on opportunities quickler than my competitors. I am an extremely creative thinker always searching for and finding the right 'angle' to be successful.

In my private life, I am a good guitarist, a very good bass player and I like to think an extremely good football player

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Being part of a successful growing business that treats people in the right way, whislt being able to enjoy my life in an environment of tranquility. (that sounds a little cheesey I know, but its true)

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

The buzz of the sale is undoubtedly why I have made this my field. Dealing with people every day is also something I am facinatd with. The pyschology behind what I do interests me hugely.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Losing deals (it happens to everyone at some point)

Why should someone employ me?

Because I am everything that an employer should look for in an employee. Creative, energetic, out going, determined, fun to be around, respectful, reliable and honest.

How can potential employers contact you?

Please contact me via email - jamie.plumridge@theit-crowd.com or on +44 (0) 7909 220512

I look forward to hearing from you!
