Riparian management and rehabilitaion project leader. Focusing on natural vegetation utilization and propagation.

I am from North America therefore I am a mix of English, Irish, Swedish and Native American Indian.

English as my first language.
What country or area are you looking to work in and why?
Tonga, Vavau'. I like the area and would like to grow vanilla and work with locals to grow and sell cocnut milk. Ultimatley I would like to make a coconut ice-cream business.
What countries do you have a visa to work in?
My wife and I have sarted the proccess of buying/leasing 4 acres in Vavau' for purpose of growing vanilla.

United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service
What fields have you worked in before?
Finish wood work Cabinetry, Farming, Data/Phone instal tech, USDA USFS(Wildland fire fighting, reforestation, riparian rehabilitaion, timber management and general forest work)
What qualifications do you hold?
Lead Forest Technician. Arborist.
Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?
I respect both. It's what you do with your knowledge that matters most. There are many paths that end at one destination.

No crew bickering.
What was your worst working experience?
Having a crew supervisor that wasn't a leader. This made it hard to follow the desicions made by this leader.
What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
Leadership is earned not given. Respect given is reciprocated.
What unique skills do you have?
I lead by teaching and following others. I strive to do my best.
What would you consider as your 'dream job'?
Teaching the youth about natural resources management in Tonga.
What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
I work outside.
Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?
It can be repetitive.
Are there any mentoring jobs in Tonga.
I would like to work with locals in cleaning up the area and help develop trash recycling.
