Initially in my early academic careerI solely believed that a Formal education was more valuable yet now I beg to differ as the worker in the millenium is often asked to apply skill sets which are gleaned from both the theory learned in a scolastic setting "Formal education /University" yet the solution is often to be found looking at the delima one is presented with and therefore additional skills need to be introduced ie thinking and breathing using strategic management from university but in the real world setting applying the knowledge and assistance of those with skills. Describe the benefits of working with others I believe when one works with others ,strategies and ideas seem to come together with ease and the end result is overall performance is at its peak and pride within the corporate structure is "Organic" in how projects are undertaken rather than having one body being solely dependent on one person to be the "think tank" and eventually burn out. Describe the benefits of working alone The benifit to working alone, is that one can proceed with ones ideas immediately and consult others immediately without waiting for otheers to be on time for presentations/meetings/deadlines. What was your worst working experience? The worst working experience was watching two collegues "squabble" in the prescence of our clients, and each worker would not stop. The most valuable lesson I have learnt in my career is to always maintain your beliefs and carefully choose companies that have similar mission statements and values to your own especially if they have a good reputation and operate with sound business ethics. What unique skills do you have? The unique skill I have is that I am a very good listener, patient and this skill has made me able to come up with creative solutions and a trust worthy employee . Another unique skill I have is a desire to always keep learning about new ideas and technology we are introducing in the twentyfirst century, and then applying this knowledge to the existing ideas and skills which exist in the workplace. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? The dream job for me would be working with travellers in either an "Airport setting" "Bus Terminal" "Rail" ,"Sea" ie Transportation sector What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting apects of my field is working with the Public and assisting them, as well as learning what goes on behind the scenes. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The least interesting aspects of the field is watching how people leave the field based on the low wages. How will conference planning grow in the future will technology "Skype"replace the need for meetings I believe there will still be a need for people to meet in person, yet the frequency to have these types of "Tete a Tete" type arragments could change as quick and personal communication is being achieved using email, teleconferencing, Skype.
