Trinidad, I have family ties and cannot move freely for about a year or so. What countries have you worked in? Trinidad What countries do you have a visa to work in? I only have a visitors visa to USA. What field do you currently work in? Presently self employed as a Furniture store supervisor, family business. My wife owns and runs it. What fields have you worked in before? I am forty five years old, and for the past eleven years I managed a Furniture store, and for the ten years previous to that, I managed a different Furniture store. Before that I worked at various jobs , as a car salesman, and as a stock auditor. Also in my fathers roti shop as assistant to him in running the business. What qualifications do you hold? CXC O'Level maths 11, accounts 11, geography 11, eng. lang. 11, HSB 111, GCE o' Level History C. Gce A' Level Economics O. ABE Diploma lenel 1 Certificate in business management Associate Degree in Business Management, presently studying, in third semester. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Both are very necessary, one gain skill with experience, but along with education one realizes how valuable they are , what else they can achieve, and how far they can go. Describe the benefits of working with others There is shared responsibility, people to share ideas with, to ask a question when in doubt, a feeling of belonging, and sharing of values. Describe the benefits of working alone can get a lot of work done, and no distractions What was your worst working experience? I have not really had bad working experiences, but some learning experiences, including the time the store I was working in got robbed violently. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? be patient and stand firmly behind my decision What unique skills do you have?
