Elementary SchoolWhat type of job are you looking for? The job which I am looking for is that of an elementary school teacher because this is what I am most passionate about. What nationality are you? I am a trinidadian. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak standard english. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I would like to work in Trinidad because that is where I live. What countries have you worked in? I have never worked in another country. What countries do you have a visa to work in? I can work in any other caribbean island under the Caricom Single Market Economy (CSME). What field do you currently work in? I work in the field of education as a classroom assistant. What fields have you worked in before? I have never worked in another field. What qualifications do you hold? I have five CXC O'levels, computer certificates, a teacher's diploma and a Bsc. in Elementary Education. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I believe that both formal education and skills work hand in hand. Formal education helps to set a solid foundation while prior skills are an asset to any organization. Describe the benefits of working with others When working with others, it is much easier to get feedback on performance and good friendships can be made. Describe the benefits of working alone When working alone, concentration is much better and you are able to set your own goals. What was your worst working experience? My worst working experience involved a misunderstanding by a parent. This misunderstanding was soon cleared. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most important lesson which I have learnt is that 'no man is an island.' I used to think that I could accomplish more on my own but I have realised that it is much more beneficial to work with others. What unique skills do you have? My unique skills would have to be that I am very patient (especially with children), honest and hardworking. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My 'dream job' is to become an Elementary School Teacher especially when I can impart knowledge to the younger generation. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting aspects of teaching is that you get to impart knowledge to young new minds and you are given an opportunity to incorporate various ways of doing so. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? There is always something interesting about teaching. Why have you chosen this field as your profession? I believe that teaching is not a profession that you can just decide to dive into on a spur of the moment. I truly believe that teaching is my calling. I love to work with children and given an opportunity, I am sure that there will be positive results.
