What type of job are you looking for?

I am a retired Headteacher . I spent oer 25 years teaching in the UK.I would like to work full or part time in Tobago. I am particularly interested in literacy and numeracy.I am 59 years old and would like a temporary contract.

British

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English (Degree Level)

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I would like to teach in Tobago as I have always been fascinated by the vibrance and culture of this small island.I would consider voluntary work.

none as yet

What field do you currently work in?

Retired teacher

What fields have you worked in before?

Education

What qualifications do you hold?

A 2.1 honours degree in education. 25 years experience of teaching.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I believe a mix of formal education that is based on both dicipline and enjoyment can include the aquisition of a wide range of skills.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working alongsside colleagues to bring about the very best educational outcomes for all children is paramount to my way of working.

There are times for private study, research and reflection.

What was your worst working experience?

I do not think of worst experiences but try and learn from difficult and challenging situations.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

You NEVER stop learning.

What unique skills do you have?

An understanding and concern for the way that every individual child learns, we are all different but yet the same.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Teaching is the most rewarding job ever.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

My wide range of experiences. qualifications and joy for education.
