Trinidadian What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak English (my mother tongue), Spanish and French. I currently hold a Bsc in the two latter languages. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Trinidad, since this is where I reside. What countries have you worked in? None, thus far. What countries do you have a visa to work in? None thus far. What field do you currently work in? I currently hold an administrative position. What fields have you worked in before? I have worked in the field of education previously, teaching and tutoring at the secondary school level. Also, I've worked in the fields of administration, sales and telemarketing. What qualifications do you hold? 8 CXC passes 4 A Level passes Bsc Spanish and French Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? They are both valuable because they complement each other, ie. they go hand in hand. My career path especially needs the both. Describe the benefits of working with others Good for the development of social skills, allows you to acquire new skills and learn about different cultures and ways of life. Also teaches you to be tolerant and patient as no two people are the same. Working with others also helps a job to be done faster throught effective co-operation. Describe the benefits of working alone I prefer to work with others, but working alone facilitates concentration as one may not be frequently distracted. It may also make you stronger in terms of giving oneself the opportunity to overcome obstacles without assistance. What was your worst working experience? Working for long hours with irate customers while having a very short lunch break. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Protocol and respect for authority is very important. Also, respecting other's differences are also important. What unique skills do you have? The ability to speak, read, write and understand Spanish and French. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Being an interpreter. It is not much of a dream though because I am determined to make it a reality. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Meeting and interacting with new people from foreign countries, also meeting people who share my passion. Additionally, the ability to share my knowledge with others. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? None can come to mind at the moment. How soon can you start to work. As soon as I am contacted once notice is given in advance.
