Turkey/marmris......i have only been to turkey once and stayed in marmaris, i enjoyed every minute of it, got on very well with the locals, including all the bar staff in different clubs etc, and met some great people from other countries. Marmaris is a very viberant and outgoing place, and as my personality totally suited this, i did not want to leave, it would be my dream to work over in turkey in the bars/clubs, meeting new people and experiencing the Turkish culture to the maximum.

I am an english citizen, and i would apply for a turkish working visa and permit.
What field do you currently work in?
I am a currently a student.
What fields have you worked in before?
I have experience in bar work and waitressing. Waited on for 3 different public houses and restaurants one of which included bar work. I have worked in the area of hospitality and catering including, football and rugby matches working behind the bars there, and serving food. Furthermore, worked in an estate agency as an office clerk, for a summer period of around 5 months, dealing with customers face to face and in public, and over the telephone and wokring with computers to create spec sheets for houses and booking viewing appointments. Worked as ASDA supermarket for 3 years as a sesonal worker, working with fresh food, preparing and serving to customers in public and taking orders and dealing with any complaints. Worked on a production line at a factory over summer.
What qualifications do you hold?
10 GCSES.... 5B's in P.E, I.T, electronics, Religous education, English speaking, 5C's in English language, English Literature, Double science and maths, 2D's in French and History.
3 A-levels in Understanding science, Philosophy and theology and Physical Education.
Currently in my 3rd year at Northampton University studying Bsc Health and Exercise Science...graduate May 2010.
Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?
Education i believe has many benefits in setting people up for a decent outcome in life, as here in the UK job opportunties you are required to have a certain level of goo deducation in order to ahcieve the best. But, having said that having the skills of being a good communicator, outgoing, having poeple skills, vibarant personality goes a very long way. Especially when working in a area such as bar work, as you need to be a happy, outgoing and have a positive attitude. Therefore, personal skills such as personailty i see as a very important attriubute when it comes to working, and in general life experiecnes.
Describe the benefits of working with others
Working with others, gives you the opportunity to experiecne other personalities and learn to experience differet cultures in many aspects. Working with others, is great for team building and you can all help each other to get a better outcome in watever situation. Builds good realtionships with team members and can allow for great freindships to form.
Describe the benefits of working alone
Working alone shows you have the ability to take control of a situation individually, and builds self confiendence. Although perosnally working together as a team is more beneficial.
What was your worst working experience?
Working on a line production in a factory was a very repetative job and did at times get very boring, so to stay focused and stay on the job was difficult. But it did not stop me from trying my best and completing the job efficiently. No matter how hard times got, completeing the task was the main priority.
What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
I have had a quite a few job experiences, and each has taught me to work well as an individual and as part of a team is key in order to achieve the best. Workig to the best of my ability is a main factor to gain the most out of your job experience. As a student, a alot of hard work has to be put in to ahchieve good results, therefore it has taught me great organisational skills, commitment to work and has created a great social network for me. As it allowed me to meet new people from different cultures, and i grew in confidence more as i live away from home; therefore becoming more indepndant and confident in myself.
What unique skills do you have?
I have done volunteer work for st john ambulance at university and i am a qualififed first aider. I have played tennis for my county and now currentyly play for a team, also play on the womens football team for my university. I am a very outgoing and happy person, i love meeting new people and experiences different cultures. I have a positive vibrant personaility, and i am always laughing. Also i am a caring and conciencous person, always willing to help others before myself. I will go that extra mile to ahchieve the best, and do not hesitate to admit when have made mistakes.
What would you consider as your 'dream job'?
My dream job is still an open window right now, but i do no that i want to experiecne working in another country in a positive, outgoing country. The job that i would like to end up in, will have these attributes such as a happy outgoing enviroment. In the past jobs i have worked in, the bar work was the most enjoyable for me.
What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
Meeting new people, living away from home and being an indivdual. Moving away from home 3 years ago showed me how to become an individual and my confidence grew massivley. Socialising with other students, has allowed me to become very outgoing and a fun loving person.
Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?
Some lectures we have to attend are quite dull, but i still have the motivation to go and get stuck in, as i want to achieve the best i can at the end of my degree. Sometimes being away from home can get difficuly, but we all pull togther and get on with it,it just makes me grow stronger as a person, knwoing i can live away.
