Im looking for a job in Icmeler, Turkey

What type of job are you looking for?

Working in a bar, restaurant or a hotel.

What nationality are you?

English

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Icmeler, Turkey, because i holiday there every yearr and this year i would like to spend longer there as i have friends there and would be good to spend longer to see them, also i am doing a travel and tourism course at college so it would be great experience to put on a cv.

What countries have you worked in?

Currently only in England, but i am hoping for that to change in the near future.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

England, however providing i get the job this can be changed.

What field do you currently work in?

Customer Services.

What fields have you worked in before?

Customer Services, waitressing and childcare

What qualifications do you hold?

GCSE's Level 2

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Skills, because edcucation doesnt determin if you are a good worker, you need the skills and the experience to deal with customers and just people in general, having a good education just means that you have a good knowlege and good exam results, skills show you can do better work realted things.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Team work is always better you can interact with other people and that can ensure the job is done properly. Also it shows you can get on well with people which is nesscessary in dealing with the public.

Describe the benefits of working alone

You can work at your own pace, also it can stop and arguements with people you may not get on with.

What was your worst working experience?

A customer wasnt happy with the new changes to a refund policy and started to raise his voice and shot over the counter at me, i had to stay calm and make sure i didnt raise my voice back, i tried to reason with the customer, however he still wasnt happy and asked for the manaher, therefore it was then out of my hands.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

I have only been working for a year now as i am only coming up 18, but so far i have learned to respect your manangers and the customers, make sure you give them your full attention and talk to them as you would expect to be talked to yourself, smile say hello and goodbye, let them walk away thinking of the great serivce you have just given them, this means there is a great chance of them coming back to you as they know how good the service is.

What unique skills do you have?

I have qualifications in performing arts, which i had to act, sing and dance.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

My dream job would be to open a bar/resteraunt in Icmeler Turkey, im hoping to get a job working there first to gain some experience.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Working with the public, i like to ineract with them, without the customers people wouldnt have a job so i feel it is good to be as nice as possible to them.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

The paper work i have to do is the least interesting, i like to interact with people so therefore i find the paperwork side of work not for me.

Why do you think we should chose you over anyone else?

I am a very outgoing person, i have a lot of experience in dealing with customers, if its from a promblem, a quierey or just a general question. I have a huge deal of experience in performing arts which shows im not a shy person, gave me a great deal of confidence and could help with any bar work which has entertainment which the staff has to be involved with, i have vistited icmeler numerous times which i think will help as it gives me background information on the town, if anyone needs to know any information about the place i would think i would know the answer, also as i am english and a lot of the tourists are aswell it would be good for them to have me to talk to about any thing they would need.
