Event-manager diploma of Moscow private event-school - intensive course for event-managers from other cities Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Skills are more important. In marketing it is impossible to know the mentality of people in different places of living without an experience. Considering the marketing as the science which appeals to the human nature and psychology features it is extra-important to have special skills. The example: I was working for the big Russian country which sold snack products (dried bread with different tastes). They sold to different regions and different regions preferred different tastes. Thus once our department got back a huge pack of products our of expire dates. It was not sold in the shops. Why? Because it was with bacon taste. And the region was - Osetya and Kabardino-Balkaria because people there don't eat pork. It was great lesson and great experience for all of us. Describe the benefits of working with others Education, knowing new thing every minute; Cooperation and idea-exchanging; Solving of the conflict situations; Negotiation skills; The leading skills - the talent of leading people to the one purpose; Declamation and persuasive skills - to make people trust and follow; It is interesting at least - I would die without people in work. Describe the benefits of working alone High concentration, higher responsibility but at the same time you know you can rely upon yourself only. What was your worst working experience? It was when I dealt with not honest clients. People are different and all clients are special. But when giving soul for making our service the best one for the client hard to see the lost contract only because of corruption and bribes from other agencies or their natives and hard to see your ideas stolen. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? 1. Check carefully all the details of your coming work-activity! 2. Trust is good but better to sign all papers before starting to give the marketing work-outs and strategic ideas. 3. Talk less - listen more! 4. Get the purpose first and you will reach it! Hard to reach something without a goal. 5. Plan your time, your day, your life - then life will make you plans come true. What unique skills do you have? It is called a Provocative Marketing in Russia. This term was brought from Moscow to Rostov market by my company. It is the way for making people around talk about the product, or about event, or about the shop, about some activity or occasion. It is the artificial event made by promoters or actors or animators or special services which are directed to the human psychology. Examples: our company made an advertising activity for the shoes-producing company which came to the Rostov shoe-market after it s fall down. People did not like the brand because they made bad advertising before with the low quality. In 10 days we had to break the stereotypes of people and to make them come to the new shop-net with purchasing intentions. We've been building the shoe-mountain monument in the central square of the city. People brought the old shoes and gave to our costumed promoters and they got the discount card for it. Old people shoes went to the special wooded construction with nails and other tools to be covered with th golden paint. Soon it was the real golden old-shoe monument where people from other countries and from our city came to see with their own eyes and to make pictures near it as near a great sightseeing. We've been nominated to the Guinness Record book. I have lots of more examples of my unique marketing skills. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Same job in the city I love - in Istanbul. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? 1. Creative; 2. Thankful (when well done easy to see people's reaction in smiles and happiness); 3. Gives excellent feeling of myself as of the person who can organize hundreds of people in one exact action or one idea. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? 1. Communication - work with people; 2. Sometimes this kind work is hard to forecast; it can depend on the weather or financial stability of the world at least; 3. Sometimes it requires extra-skills which are born unexpectedly from some depth of the body and mind and then you re shocked with the idea: "Oh I can do this also!"
