Jo Elise Quinn (86.149.69.220) -

I am looking for a job in an Administration, Reception or Secretarial role. I have over 4 years experience in an office environment with a wide range of skills and experience.

What nationality are you?

I am british and am currently living in Central London. Also working within the city.

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

I speak English and know very little Turkish but am planning to start a Turkish language course.

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I am looking to work in Turkey. Particularly Altinkum as I holidayed there this year and fell in love with it.

What countries have you worked in?

I have not worked outside of England.

What field do you currently work in?

I was recently made redundent due to the economic situation at the moment but worked as a facilities manager for a corporate telecoms company in the city of London. I am very flexible when it comes to working environment and area and am a very keen to learn new skills.

What fields have you worked in before?

I have worked in a College environment as a receptionist as work experience for part of my course, which was an NVQ in Business Administration. I have worked as an office administrator for an IT Support Company for 2 years and a Corporate Telecoms Company, where I also was supervisor to another junior member of staff.

What qualifications do you hold?

My qualifications include: 8 GCSE'S. An ECDL (European Computer Driving License), so have knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint etc. I also have an NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

To be honest I believe that skills are more valuable than education. I believe that people with qualifications are not necessarily better than soomeone with none. This is because although they are academically able it doesn't mean that they can hack it in the work place.

Describe the benefits of working with others

I really enjoy working with others. You benefit from other opinions and expertise. You can build good working relationships and also friends and make working a nice experience.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Although I like working as part of a team, I also like working on my own as I like to work on my own initiative and be able to plan my day according to how I work.

What was your worst working experience?

Dont really have any in all honesty.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Always organise yourself as best you can so you are able to cope with large work loads.

What unique skills do you have?

I am very friendly, get on with people and am approachable. I also love working under pressure as it brings out the best in me.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

A dream job for me would be, no matter what field, somewhere where I am comfortable and happy.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Dealing with and meeting new people. Dealing with and trying to resolve new problems everyday.

Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Maybe the more mundane tasks, including, filing and paperwork etc. Although that doesn't really bother me.

What would you say are your best working skills and qualities as a person?

Well I am very keen, hard working and always up for learning new skills. I work very well under pressure and am well organised. I am also a really friendly person who gets on with all types of people.

How can potential employers contact you?

You can contact via email at the following address: joquinn2006@hotmail.co.uk.
