EMPLOYMENT AS A STAFF NURSE

What type of job are you looking for?

Nursing job, i specilised in Ophthalmic Nursing

What nationality are you?

Nigeria

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

I speak English & Yoruba flently

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I am looking at Turk & Caicos. This is because i loved carribean islands and Turks & Caicos is my natural choice.

What countries have you worked in?

I have worked in Nigeria, Barbados and England

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

I had 2 years worked permit in Barbados between March 2007 to March 2009. I also have UK student dependant visa which allows me to work.

What field do you currently work in?

Nursing home in UK

What fields have you worked in before?

Hospital setting

What qualifications do you hold?

B,Sc in Health Education.Diploma in General Nursing and Post Basic Certificate in Ophthalmic Nursing

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Both are valuable, you need formal education to enhance your skill. However skill acquisition is most valuable

Describe the benefits of working with others

To be a team player is good. Costly mistake can be identify by others and be corrected immediately.Others could be a witness to whatever you are doing. Make work faster and promote efficiency of labour.

What was your worst working experience?

One will be more focused, concentration is 100%. Work is done at your convinience and in your own style.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

If you try and fail do not ever give up until you achieve your aim. Try to help others and be fair in your dealings.

What unique skills do you have?

comunication and interpersonal skill.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Working in an ideal hospital setting as a nurse.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

I feel fulfilled when a patient comes in with a seemingly intractable problem and i am part of the team that help to solve the problem. i am most happy seening patient discharged from the hospital smiling home.
