Fisheries & Agriculture FieldsWhat type of job are you looking for? A Job in a fisheries and or agriculture fields that the moment will address the livelihoods, and recovery context of the resettling farming communities of southern Sudanese that had waged through decades of protracted civil war. In these fields, i am experienced in Farmer field School extension approach to disseminate skills and knowledge. What nationality are you? I am a Ugandan What languages do you speak (and at what level)? Basically English ,and Luo What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Government of south Sudan (soon to a Republic ) I love sharing, helping and very much passionate about contributing to a community that is on the path of rebuilding their lost glory (economies) through differently enhanced development programs. In fisheries (aquaculture) and agriculture, employing the FFS methodologies What fields have you worked in before? None What qualifications do you hold? I hold a Bsc in Agriculture(LUM) from Makerere university, Kampala ,Uganda ,and A Diploma In Fisheries management and technologies,FTI Entebbe, Uganda. I attained other post graduate trainings in computer applications, FFS, safe use and pesticide application,participatory Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Entry and Analysis. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Both. I suggest when an opportunity does exists, formal education needs to be highly considered, for skills are greatly enhanced when one has attained some level of formal education Describe the benefits of working with others There is sharing and learning a lot from each others skills and knowledge, you appreciate the value of team spirit in service delivery,it builds coercion and solidarity,and most times leads to permanent unknown people to great friends. Describe the benefits of working alone It comes along directly with the opposite of the above. Most importantly never never grows in all spheres of life. What was your worst working experience? Until now, I have not yet discovered what could constitute my worst working experience. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Effective service delivery is a factor of continuous skills and knowledge acquisition What unique skills do you have? I am good at consulting,and judgment. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? A consultant in either agriculture, fisheries, or in FFS extension methodologies. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Relating with commoners, the odd in a society, the perceived low income earners in the communities. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Limited or even no motivation or appreciation from the benefiting communities despite all commitments to serve them. How much would it take for you to be available in case of a serving offer?
