I consider both formal education and skills because they supplement each other in the sense that it is from the education attained that you get skills which are an asset when it comes to the real field practice and/or work and experience Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others is really an asset in that it builds an individual's public relations, changes individuals' attitudes towards their world views that they consider important even when they are not key, promotes a sense of belongingness of the workers and above all ensures work efficiency of the organization through making well informed decisions from a group. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone ensures quick reasoning as far as issues at hand are concerned, for it does not require consulting. It promotes some form of independence when it comes to handling certain aspects of the organization. It promotes some sense of responsibility of the worker as far as the organization management is concerned What was your worst working experience? I once worked with a food processing company where I had a merciless manager (Head of Department) who never looked at his subordinates as resourceful. Every decision he made ought to be final. Subordinates like me could not make decisions for they would look like demeaning his powers. This stressed me for the whole period I worked with this company. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I have learnt that one needs to be well-behaved, tolerant and result oriented. These aspects are very important in achieving the targets of an organization and self. What unique skills do you have? I am very observant making meticulous attention to even the smallest detail. I have well proven management skills in various fields, computer skills, evaluation and management of program skills among others. These are among others attributed to the fact that, as a result oriented person, I have worked under harsh conditions with minimum supervision. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? I would like to be a coordinator of some program in the areas ranging from agriculture, water and sanitation as well as environmental (natural resources)management programmes What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting aspect is "The environment in which we live". It is a fragile ecosystem that needs care. Therefore it should be kept safe and managed properly to ensure sustainable livelihoods of the people. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The lack of an enabling environment to do certain aspects of my work because of no recognition by the employers as well as policy makers. This makes the work a bit boring.
