I have been in IT and teaching, on small scale but, basically, am an IT personnel What qualifications do you hold? UCE, UACE and a certificate in computer repair and maintenance Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Skills - Formal education lucks the basics one needs to handle a job. This is true as seen in the education system here in Uganda. Students leave colleges and Universities with a lot of notes ant little or nothing at all of practical skills needed to be fully equipped for the jobs they studied for. To me, someone who is skilled is far better than one with a University degree. For what use is an employee who can not deliver at work what is expected from them in the name of a university degree ? Describe the benefits of working with others 1. Work is simplified and made easy 2. From team work, one gets to learn from others and the opposite is true. 3. Team work improves the quality of work in that another person will polish what the other might not have done well 4. Time of production and delivery is highly conserved because of the increased number of workers Describe the benefits of working alone 1. There's maximum concentration because no time is wasted in unwanted gossip. 2. There's easy monitoring and supervision 3. It promotes self-evaluation, one gets to know what one is good at. What was your worst working experience? Working in an environment without the necessary tools What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Technology is too broad, one can not contend that one knows everything or too much. You just keep learning every single day. What unique skills do you have? 1.The ability to learn very fast. 2.The ability to read and to teach myself new things. 3.Good inter-personal communication skills. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Software engineering. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? 1.Every day, technology just gets better and a new product is brought on market.
