What type of job are you looking for?

Child welfare or community development

What nationality are you?

Ugandan

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

Fluent in English, Lusoga and Luganda

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Anything to do with human rights or community services

What countries have you worked in?

Uganda but as an intern in the medical social work department, Mulago hospital and at Central Police Station, Kampala

What field do you currently work in?

Currently non

What qualifications do you hold?

Bachelors of Social work and Social administration, second upper.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Both because the two go hand in hand in that if you have the class room knowledge only with out the practical experience or skills to put the formal knowledge into practical then you can't perform the tasks given to you effectively and the same goes for the skills.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Team work is good because you get to share different ideas and there are high chances of making the right decisions and at one point one may need a shoulder to lean on or advise.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Its motivating since you work while knowing that you alone are hold responsible for whatever happens.

What was your worst working experience?

Non yet

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Assertive listening, patience being non judgmental and open minded guides on want needs to be done.

What unique skills do you have?

Communication skills, computer skills [excel, Microsoft word, Internet], recording, counseling skills

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Any as long as it involves serving the community more especially the vulnerable in a Non Government Organization or Public Service Commission

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Empowering the vulnerable like those who are victims of sexism, abuse or being discriminated due to a disability.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Failing to help a client because of inadequate /lack funds.
