Pharmacy TechnicianWhat type of job are you looking for? i'm looking for a job that provides a challenge with the public and good customer service.I like to help people with their medications and get them on the road to recovery. What nationality are you? I'm American Samoa,my family came from America Samoa, but I was born in Lomita, California What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I can read and speak english and samoan, but right now I'm learning to speak Ugandan. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Uganda, Kampala is the place I'm looking to work at. I'm to get married soon and I'm looking for a job in Kampala because I plan on living there with my family. What countries have you worked in? I've worked in United States, Kuwait, Germany and Iraq. What countries do you have a visa to work in? I don't have a visa to work in any country, but I do have a passport. What field do you currently work in? Currently I'm working in food service with the Army Reserves and I work in the pharmacy as a civilian. What fields have you worked in before? I've worked in the Food Service field, truck driving and child care. What qualifications do you hold? I am a certified pharmacy technician in the U.S. I've worked in the pharmacy for about 10 years and I've worked in food service or 15 years now. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I would consider skills, when I first worked for Walgreens Pharmacy, I knew nothing about the medications, so the technician took me under their wing to teach me what all the medications and the pharmacy terms and how to prepare a prescription to be filled. After 6 months of training the pharmacy sent to classes to become a pharmacy technician. Describe the benefits of working with others I am a team player, I feel that the job will get done with a little team work behind it. When working with others you learn a little about the person and you benefit from good social skills. You learn alot about that person working together like a well oiled machine. Describe the benefits of working alone The benefits of working alone is that you can get more work done and its more challenging that way. You have no one to worry about. What was your worst working experience? When I was working alone in the pharmacy with the pharmacist and it was a sunday afternoon, it was slow then all of the sudden a wave just rushed me and before i knew i was up to my neck with prescriptions and medications to fill and to sell, patients were getting so upset with me and yelling. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I've learned that you as a person don't know everything and that you learn something everyday and its okay to ask questions. What unique skills do you have? I'm good with customer relations, I have a smile on my face and I get along with almost anyone that I work with. I'm disiplined physically and mentally. and i'm always ready for the next mission. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? I would consider my dream job to where I can take care of my family and can take vacations every year. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? I like to help people and take care of their needs. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Your constantly busy and sometimes you work so much in the pharmacy you tend to forget to take care of yourself. Why do you think your good for this job? I think i'm good for this job because, I have 10 years of experience. I work hard everyday, and I am a people person who cares about others and I put their needs first.
