British Council therefore saved the resources that they would to recruit an assistant IT manager. By carrying out the South Sudan project successfully I trained the librarians and set up the legal resource center in Rumbek. This impacted well on the organization and resulted in British Council and DfID being given Kshs. 3,000,000/= worth of funding to continue with their projects in South Sudan. Managed to set up and successfully implement the changes in the information center by integrating the physical and electronic resources to the satisfaction of customers. Designed and trained customers on how to effectively make use of the library especially the Internet. Written the collection development, library user education policies, and electronic information resources policies that govern the library and these are being used in other British Council libraries in the East and West Africa regional offices. Successfully piloted and ran other projects like the Learner Support, Information Literacy, and WebCat Module. These projects have improved the work of answering the reference questions as well as reducing the staff time needed to respond to them. Designed and implemented The Active Desktops that have made the inquiry journey easier. Together with the management-training department we have incorporated the training programs and the library resources. This has improved the relations between the two departments and increased the membership of the library. Together with the IT manager I have been able to showcase the new IT equipment being used in the modern training rooms like the Interactive whiteboard, and plasma screens.
