Managing and controlling resources under my custody through serious book keeping What nationality are you? I am a Ugandan National What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I do speak English and Luganda very fluently and have the ability to communicate through writing in the same perfectly well. I also have the ability to hear a some words in Runyoro-Rutoro, Runyankole-Rukiga and a bit of kiswahili and the greetings in French language What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I am interested first in working in any country within the East African region then elsewhere in the world. This is because it is may be very easy to effectively cope with life around home with minimal expenses. Second elsewhere in the world because it involves a lot of hardships the further one is from home unless one is really handsomely paid for his efforts. What countries have you worked in? I have worked in Uganda alone What countries do you have a visa to work in? Not any What field do you currently work in? I am in the Food Processing field What fields have you worked in before? I have worked in the Laboratory, Sales and Marketing, Food Machines Operations, Stores control and management, Security and the Quality Control and Assurance fields. What qualifications do you hold? I hold a Bachelors Degree in Food science and Processing Technology Second Class Honors from Kyambogo University. I have had trainnings in GMPs, HACCP, and Food hygiene by the UNBS I have had trainnings in basic Laboratory Practices from Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI) Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Formal Education is more valuable because with it you can acquire the skills in a more guided way. There is a very big risk acquiring skills without formal education because some where one may have to lose one life because of lack of prior knowledge about some event or expected occurrence say if one is in the Laboratory. for example, many scientists had to die before science developed this far because they were not fully knowledgeable about what they dealt with and their expectations. Describe the benefits of working with others You always learn some thing new even with the unskilled people, team work tends to give the warmth one may need to push on. working together tends to cheer up staff especially when downhearted. It also tends to provide room for adequate solutions for challenges one might be having in one's course of duty. Describe the benefits of working alone One tends to concentrate and do work fast enough with very minimum interruptions. It gives time to concentrate on big challenges or tasks left behind by Junior staff especially if one is working at a higher level of a managerial office. Thus it helps get solutions to failed tasks as one gets all the time to think deeply about a particular task. It also helps one in a managerial office to think wisely for the organization for a very well organized development strategy that might not have been possible in a crowded or meeting environment while at work. What was your worst working experience? The time I sacrficed my sleep and risked my life for the company's safety and ignored by my immediate boss. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The lesson is that there is always room for development of anything; be it character, system, design, and most importantly the food quality produced even after grant of a Mark of Quality. It can be still made better than it is when awarded. Thus, Perfection is always ahead. What unique skills do you have? I am very skilled at Product formulations and development. I am also very skilled with Laboratory analytical skills. I am also skilled in investigation analysis of macro to micro objects for detection of counterfeits, and fraud plus theft cases. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? QUALITY ASSURANCE/PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Preservation of nutrients and food properties What are the least interesting aspects of your field? food cleaning/sorting & grading and its size reductions as done in the milling plants. What are your strong and weak points in life and or at work? I am a very strong willed person, yet with utmost integrity always hungry for the truth and justice. I am a very patient person on the other side once light is expected after the tunnel. I am very weak when it comes to communicating a lie, I always tell the truth even when Heavens fall, am always willing to support it.
