I am looking for a teaching position in a few settings such as an international school, english school or even teaching in a church. What nationality are you? I am an American citizen. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I am fluent in english. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I want to work in Kiev, Ukraine. Kiev has so much to live for. There is history and art at every turn. The culture has a twist and a turn that keeps you awake and aware. From the river, to the city bang, to the cathedral, to the museum and a walk a small streets, there is enchantment everywhere. What countries have you worked in? I have not worked in other countries although I have spent years much time the past nine years in Montreal,Quebec. What countries do you have a visa to work in? I have my US passport that allows me into Ukraine. What field do you currently work in? I am an educator. I teach reading, spelling, writing, social studies, science, and math. I currently teach sixth graders and second graders. I have been teaching around ten years. What fields have you worked in before? I have been an interior and exterior painter. I have painted corporate restuarants, small businesses, and houses. What qualifications do you hold? I am a certified reading specialist(p-12th grade/special and regular students). I am (SERP or Special Education Reading Project) certified. I have also been trained under the (Reading First National Program). I am also a certified special education teacher who has alot experience in multiple grades and with multiple teachers(p-12). I am certified in special education for social studies(p-8) Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I think the answer is both. Formal education adds breath and depth and width to any skill a person has. It is simply about being well rounded and centered with enlightened skills. Describe the benefits of working with others The feeling of togetherness is a rush to the soul. When trust is made, responsibility is taken, kindness is expressed, concern is clear, and when everyone is included for who they are, that is the rush of working with others. Describe the benefits of working alone The feeling of self reliance has a peacefullness. It is all up to me. Noone is waiting on me, movement or space is provided, I can focus on what I desire too, I can do what I want without asking questions about boundaries or other preferences, there is a self reliant artisticness about it. What was your worst working experience? I worked by the beach one summer in an 18 story hotel complex. There was a ten story parking garage too. Then both sides of the building had 18 flights of stares. I hand swept every inch of the complex. What unique skills do you have? I am real good with diverse people groups. I can teach any student. I can hold a classes attention. I am candid to my students. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? I LIKE THE THOUGHT OF TEACHING SCHOOL IN KIEV, UKRAINE. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The challene of teaching everyone where they are at and leading them day by by day toward postive growth. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The amount of paper work that does waste time with students. What person in history would you like to meet? Jesus.
