Formal education is more important because it teaches you the proper approach to solve the problems. Skills come when you systematically perform various tasks for some time. If you do things wrong for long time it comes in your reflexes that becomes difficult correct. Describe the benefits of working with others Everyone has some special qualities. a good manager utilizes everybody's speciality to the optimum effect. Describe the benefits of working alone I would be able to concentrate more if I work alone during some time per day. What was your worst working experience? once I did not ask for permission of my supervisor for some management issue. unfortunately, procedure went wrong and I was held responsible for disaster What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Never ignore even the faintest clues. but be systematical in approach What unique skills do you have? I have both lab and clinical experience. So, I know exactly what I am asking from a lab, and know what problems could arise. other then that I keep systematic records of my patients so that I am enriched with every patient I see. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Where I get quality time to spend with my family, where I can make use of my training very well and I am paid reasonably well What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Pediatric genetic and metabolic diseases are good mixture of science and art. on one hand metabolic diseases cant be understood without chemical pathways and in dysmorphology is mainly an art. These diseases are gateway to different gene functions. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Some disorders are not treatable, these may lead to frustration in doctor and loss of faith in parents. Sometimes, we think and believe we are looking at genetic disease but we are never able to diagnose correctly. Why don't you work in your own country? My first priority has always been to work in my own, but lack of opportunities has led me to search overseas.
