Fluent in english and french and creole(mother tongue) What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I want to work in the UAE, if possible in Dubai or Sharjah because i have family there. What countries have you worked in? None apart from my country What field do you currently work in? Occupational Health Unit What fields have you worked in before? I've worked in community Health center, Where i've done Domicilliary care nursing, Maternal and child health care, family planning and emrgency. What qualifications do you hold? I hold a certificates in General nursing after a three year course which is equivalent a diploma. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I think both is important because we required the knowledge of what we are practicing, there must be a theory for what we practice, we don't just do it without knowing the reason or the possible outcome. we are dealing with real poeple and we should be accurate in theory and practical also. Describe the benefits of working with others Working in a team is very helpful, there is the sharing of ideas, self motivation, it develops our communication skills and better expected outcomes for the patient is being initiate.and you are able to see your weaknesses and strength. Describe the benefits of working alone It develops your interpersonal skills, Helps you to be more self efficient and confident. it improve our confidentiality skills. What was your worst working experience? My worst working experience was when i was doing domicilliary care. it was tough walking all day in the sun, whether it was raining thunder or heavy hot sun i was on the street going door to door visitng the elderly and the disabled to deliver them the care they need because they cannot come down to the clinic. Going outside i've experience the real world which very painful to see. loads of social cases, abuse mistreating. A person cannot work in this feild if they don't have compassion. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I have learned to stand on my two feet to face any challenges coming my way. to be accountable for my own actions, to be responsible with any given task, to be confidential, What unique skills do you have? Patience, confidentiality, a good listner when patient comes for advise. team work, venepucnture, family planning skills, health educator, What would you consider as your 'dream job'? To be a specialist nurse in Occupational Health.or nurse practitioner one day. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? To take care of healthy poeple keeping them in the right direction concerning their health, mostly to health educate. And meet challenging clients when it comes to their health.
