Although there is more to learn in skills, I still would say formal education is first otherwise you will not have a clear understanding of how a system works, regardless of field of expertise. In skills you only get the benefit of learning the trade Hands On. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others is beneficial because it gives you the sense of developing comradery, harmony, learning other cultures and earning others respect. And that will give one a sense of confidence. When I have to dig a cable that was in trouble and I need to restore the service temporarily, when no digging contractors were available at that time.
