Teacher of French

What nationality are you?

British

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

Arabic, English & French (Fluent) Italian (Intermediate)

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Middle East. New experience and better pay.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

Anywhere as I hold a British passport

What field do you currently work in?

I just finished my teaching contract on the 31st August as a French Teacher in a Secondary school.

What fields have you worked in before?

Customer Service

What qualifications do you hold?

Degree, PGCE

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Both. Formal education forms the basis and skills helps the learner to access work easily.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Each person brings their own skill and input which can be benifited from. You can learn from others and others can learn from you. Team work is more productive.

Describe the benefits of working alone

You can focus at what your are doing and be less distracted. The responsibility is on you therefore you take good care at what you are doing.

What was your worst working experience?

Lazy team mates, team mates with no input or interest.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Hard work leads to excellent outcomes. Be very thorough and attention to detail.

What unique skills do you have?

I speak 7 languages.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Working with the right colleagues and an approachable yet professional seniors.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Dealing with different types of learners. Making the learning accessible to everyone.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Dealing with parents who are not interested in the learning of their children.

Can a non native speaker teach another language?

Yes, because when you learn the other language, you learn the rules properly, while a native is sometimes ignorant to those rules.
