Hospitality industry

Argentinian

I'm moving from the EEUU to Montevideo with my family.

What countries have you worked in?

Argentina, EEUU.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

Argentina, EEUU. I'm currently applying for the Uruguayan residency.

What field do you currently work in?

Hospitality/Retail

What fields have you worked in before?

Hospitality/Retail

What qualifications do you hold?

Graduated from Hospitality Management. 12 years of experience in hotels like Marriott, Hyatt, Crowne Plaza and InterContinental. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Computer knowledge (office pacakage and internet).

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I believe a balance of both, education and skills, are what makes a person stand out.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Teamworking and relating with other employees is extremely important and necessary if one wants to enjoy his/her job.

What was your worst working experience?

Experiences are never bad as long as one learns something from them.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Good job ethics will lead you to success.

What unique skills do you have?

I've lived in the United States for 8 years. I believe the experience I aquired in this country will make me a better employee.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

A job that motivates me so that I'll wake up every morning and be excited about going to work.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Meeting people from all over the world. Learning they culture, language and providing service that will make their vacation a memorable one.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

The crazy schedule... hotels are open 24/7 and employees are needed to work flexible shifts.
