What type of job are you looking for?

Graphic or Web Design for all kinds of markets, industries, and build tyupes (e-commerce, portfolio, dynamic, mobile, etc.)

What nationality are you?

Uruguayan

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English (perfect) Spanish (high level)

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Europe - because the Euro goes farther in Uruguay US - because that's where I worked for many years so I'm used to the rhythm and flow Uruguay and So. America - because I want to expand my services

What countries have you worked in?

US, Uruguay

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

US, Uruguay

What field do you currently work in?

Web & Print Design of all sorts

What fields have you worked in before?

Finances, Real Estate, Taxes, Web design

What qualifications do you hold?

Internet and Multimedia Studies

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Both depends on what inspires you. You can become inspired by what you can or can't do through formal education that may take you longer to learn on your own. At the same time if you're inspired to create and just do that without needing formal training then that is a gift that not all have, later on formal education can help you achieve more from the gift you possess so it just depends.

Describe the benefits of working with others

feeding off of ideas, no one person possesses all the cool things you can create and accomplish, but the sharing of ideas to make something great together is worth more than doing it all yourself.

Describe the benefits of working alone

There are times when you're truly inspired and quite time alone with work becomes a meditation period where the mind can relax, answer to no one (except the client) and explore the project potentials without butting heads with others ideas or power trips.

What was your worst working experience?

Haven't really had one yet.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

prepare and plan as much as possible in the beginning to have the best final product you can have, because having to tweak mid way through creates an end product with little flow and weak integration. When you plan ahead you anticipate pitfalls and new ideas emerge of how to put the project together in clever ways. After the mind works differently when all the puzzle pieces are in front of you at once, than when you are fed one piece at a time.

What unique skills do you have?

The ability to integrate ideas visually and creatively. Life experiences have given me learning lessons that of course also find their way into the work I do.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Working with people that know quality takes time, planning and isn't usually inexpensive because the work you do is in demand. It allows full creative freedom to explore what you love to do and the ability to be able to do that work anywhere.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Taking an idea and turning it into something visual. I don't believe there is anything new under the sun, but at least there is a reworking or mixing of ideas that have been around. Designing allows forgotten ideas to emerge as well bringing revival to lost methods.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

redundant revisions. The client is the boss but often times if the designer doesn't put their foot down the client can become overwhelmed and make changes just because they feel it should be changed. It gets to a point in a project where it's done and one needs to move on.

What interests you?

Change and growth, exploring new styles and mediums is always the best part. In life you can probably only do a limited amount of things so whatever you do do it the best you can and never think about the reward at the end but give thanks for every step along the way. There are greater purposes in life than just work so soak it all in and give it back out in everything you do.
