| Stuck in Vermont 88: Leahy & Batman 7/12/08: "The Dark Knight" premiered in Montpelier Saturday, days before it's general release. We have Vermont's own Dark Knight to thank for this rare event - US Senator Patrick Leahy who has a small cameo in the film. Patrick Leahy grew up in Montpelier Vermont. Blind in one eye, he spent much of his free time reading comics at the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Years later, he is the library's favorite Superhero, donating proceeds from his Batman film appearances and raising money from this recent screening of The Dark Knight. Leahy sits down with the library's Comics Clubs to talk about Batman, "The Dark Knight, " and why he loves reading.
