What fields have you worked in before? Consumer electronics and BPO. What qualifications do you hold? Masters in Business Management. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? 70% skills and 30% formal education. Formal studies provides knowledge, principles and theories which are to be implimented in work enviornment. The work enviornment is very dymanic and complicated to which the person has to adapt and whiile doing so gathers skills. Though necessarily the education provides the base through which the challenges at work front are met. Describe the benefits of working with others At managerial level, the manager has to delegate work to achieve the objectives of the organization. This delegation of responsibility and authority to others down the line is important to achieve the task at hand to be completed in time and with limited resources. Also, others at work enviornment have knowledge and skill set which are different than others. These skills are shared to get the task done and optimum results are achieved. This requires interpersonal skills to get the work done. Describe the benefits of working alone If the task can be completed alone, the person has 100% control over his decisions and resources. He has the flexibility as when and how the task is to be completed. What was your worst working experience? In one of the complanies i worked with, it had processes and policies which slowed down operational decisions which made the work slow, unchallenging. This was quite frustrating. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Time is money. What unique skills do you have? Negotiation, team handling, quick learner in any given enviornment. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Challenging, good responsibility and authority to make decisions. Be responsible for large turnover. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Consumer electronics and Telecommunications are dymanic industries where time is essence, quite technical and hence interesting. There is immense learning in different business enviornement requiring high level of interpersonal skills. What are the least interesting aspects of your field?
