England What field do you currently work in? I currently have finished training where I have taught history at a secondary school. What fields have you worked in before? Education : I have worked in a pre-school for 7 years and ran an after school club within the same company for 8 years. I have also worked within construction What qualifications do you hold? I have just finished a BA in modern world history. Level 2+3 NVQ in childcare. Cert in teaching history and other qualifications within children’s education. Cert in mandarin Chinese. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Both are important because without education you can not get the opportunity to gain the experience along with the skills you can not succeed and develop within the job. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others develops team work and awareness as well as patience and understanding. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone helps gain initiative and confidence What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? That patience really is a virtue What unique skills do you have? The ability to learn and understand the different ways children develop What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job would be to teach history and culture to children helping them become more aware of the world. What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
