Human Resources What fields have you worked in before? Human Resources What qualifications do you hold? A BS Psychology graduate from University of San Jose-Recoletos. Graduated last March 16,2006 and experienced HR personnel for almost five years in three companies. I worked as HR Assistant-Information System at Prime Asia Pawn and Jewelry Shop Inc.last March 18,2006 - April 24,2008; Employee Welfare Services Specialist at SPi Global (former SPi Technologies Inc.) from June 2,2008 to June 7,2010 and currently working as HR Assistant at Bombardier Transportation from May 31,2010 until present. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I considered skills more valuable than formal education. It's because I believe no matter how good your grades are when you graduated, if you don't have the passion to do your job, you will still not be effective. If you have the passion,the determination,you're more eager to learn and be effective and you'll be the best skilled-employee. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others is a mutual relationship. You learn from them and they learn from you. It's also a nice working environment if you are with other people. You get to laugh with them and share ideas with them. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone makes you think faster. If you have to do analysis on your reports, or projects. I can think faster. What was your worst working experience? I think I'm lucky to say there's no worst. There were hard days, but it's all worth it. After all, it made me become a better person and a good employee. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? To be an HR personnel,you really have to be patient and make your co-employees how much you care for them by being accommodating on their concerns. What unique skills do you have? I am people-oriented. I am patient and composed even if problem arises. Instead of being panicked,I believe I have to think on what to do to solve it and make a plan to prevent it in the future. I love to prepare reports, making analysis and graphs. Also,has initiative. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? I always considered my dream job to be a simple and fulfilling job. I always dream of being with children. I dreamed to become a Child Psychologist before. But due to some reason, I was not able to fulfill it and instead work as an HR personnel. Though I am happy with my current job, I will grab the opportunity to do it someday. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Being in HR,it's confidentiality. You really have to be firm not to divulge any confidential information like salaries of each employees, and other informations. And it really tests your patience in handling different personalities of employees and how to make them happy in their working environment. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? For me, it's the filing and encoding. Honestly, I get sleepy. I'd rather analyze reports and think hard how to present it than those clerical things. How old are you?
