I am looking for a job as a District Medical Officer, a Senior Casualty Officer at a hospital, or to work in a clinic that deals with HIV patients with either the government or International Organization What nationality are you? I have Dual citizenship: Grenadian and Antigua and Barbuda What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English and Spanish : Very well What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Namibia, Botswana or South Africa, recently got married to a Zimbabwean and we plan to move back to Africa What countries have you worked in? Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, Jamaica, Guyana, British Virgin Islands What countries do you have a visa to work in? All above What field do you currently work in? I work as a District Medical officer ( DMO II) and as a senior Casualty officer in the BVI What fields have you worked in before? Senior Casualty officer in Antigua, Jamaica, Private Practice Antigua, District Medical officer Jamaica What qualifications do you hold? medical Doctor , Cuba Certificate in clinical management of HIV and STD infection University of Washington Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? In my field they both important. a formal education gives you the necessary basic information to work. Experience obtained working in medicine is also valuable because the skill you obtain working will complement your knowledge. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others allow one to learn new things daily once you allow yourself to learn from others no matter how junior you may think they are. to me it has always been a great experience and I always look forward to learning from their experience Describe the benefits of working alone Your independence and ability to apply your knowledge and experience to do your job in a manner you find adequate It allows you to organize yourself in a comfortable manner and to use your experience to show a different form of doing things What was your worst working experience? Working in countries where you are not appreciated just because of your nationality. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Always do your job to the best of your ability, and don't ever be afraid to ask for help or advise when necessary. What unique skills do you have? I have the ability to solve problems once given the chance I have always been a leader Great Cook ( Caribbean food ) What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Working with an international organization working in an administration position in the medical field because I have an ability to organize, plan and solve problems once given the chance.
