Formal education or skills and why? Both! Formal education teaches you theory. Practical experience, skills. Both are needed to become sucessful in your chosen career. Describe the benefits of working with others I love working with a team to achieve large scale goals. Teams allow the group to move ahead using individual strengths of each team member to work towards that goal. Also, teams are a great way to meet people and expand your social network. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone can allow time for focus during a problem solving exercise. What was your worst working experience? Working in a retail position where compensation was based on a highly competetive, commission based salary. The staff was more focused on stealing each others clients than providing customer service. Business suffered as a result. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Communication is king! Without clear communication between client and team members, the outcomes to goals are greatly compromised. What unique skills do you have? I am a creative problem solver and look at challenges from different angles to discover the best solution. Because of this, I am very flexible and open minded. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Connecting buyers and sellers of investment properties on a multi-national level. Working with high net worth individuals in these transactions. Watching the benefits of these transactions trickle down through the economy. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Having a design background, I find the regionsl architectural styles of properties most interesting. Second to that, working with various personality types and cultures and the challenges they provide in making a transaction work for all parties. What are the least interesting aspects of your field?
