Accounting/Bookkeeping What fields have you worked in before? Retail Sales, Marine, Parcel Delivery, Office Administration, Upholstery, Furniture Manufacturing, Food-service, Accounting, etc. What qualifications do you hold? Business Computing Diploma from Guyana Business School; I have over seven (7) years exprierence in the marine industry with specialized skills in the purchase management of supplies; I have a wealth of experience working in the service of wealthy customers; etc. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I would consider skills to be of more value to a perspective employer due to many experiential benefits that one gains from hands-on experience. Describe the benefits of working with others I am most certainly a team-player. What was your worst working experience? Food-service What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most important lesson I have learned in my professional career is to be certain to ask questions. A close second would be to be very mindful of my treatment of others on my way up the ladder. One may never know who one may need to hold him up on his way back down. What unique skills do you have? My skills lie in the seven (7) years of experience in office administration serving as the purchase manager of St. Augustine Marine Canvas & Upholstery Inc. under Joseph Hunt Bowman of St. Augustine, FL. During my gainful employment there i fostered many working relationships with many very influential individuals in the marine industry including but not limited to business owners/operators, boat/yacht owners, vendors, salespersons, marine manufactures, etc. Additionally, I have a wealth of hands-on experience in the marine industry having started working for the company as a marine upholsterer for my first three (3) years after which time i was consecutively promoted. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Most any position within the marine industry. I love boats, sailing, and yachting. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The water.
