| Yahoo! Answers: how do I apply for extreme makeover? I am trying to apply for Extreme Makeover Home Edition for a very good friend of mine, she is CEO and owner of the shelter. The building is entirely to small to house the clients that we have. She has fought tooth and nail to keep the place open and city ordinance is fighting back to shut us down. This place has been open since 2003 and it is falling apart! She has found a place here in Kenosha Wisconsin that she wants badly and the possiblities are endless! She would be able to provide so many more services to our homeless clients including room and board. The building that has been chosen has tremendous water damage, electrical problems, it needs to be gutted out and refinished, basically a complete overhaul. She works two jobs, takes care of her family that includes her husband, 2 children and 3 grandchildren that are under the ages of 3 years of age. Her compassion for the unfortunate people in this community is beyond belief, we cannot comprehend how she does it all, but she manages. We are 100% non-profit, provide to our clients solely through donations! That our staff and volunteers are here because of the need to provide and on the strength of her love to help bring peace of mind to those who need a direction. |
