I am currently seeking work within the IT and/or telecoms marketplace in Zambia. I have skills in all MS Office packages including development skills in VBA for both Access and Excel. I also have skills in Oracle SQL databases as a DBA. My main focus currently is within the telecoms market.I currently work in London for a fixed and mobile telco as a senior systems analyst/billing manager. I have also worked for a satellite telecoms company, international voice and data telco and mobile and fixed line. I have been in the industry for the past 8 years or so and have contracted in a host of European countries as well as the UK.
I actually grew up in Zambia and lived there for over 20 years leaving in 1996 in order to gain experience and learn new technologies. I also have experience in managing a workforce within Zambia.
I now feel ready to return in the knowledge that I can bring new ideas and skills to the growing marketplace in Zambia. A recent holiday there made me realise how quickly the country is developing in terms of new technologies and the world of silicon, wireless communication and the Internet. It is only a matter of time before they adopt the kind of technology that currently exists here in Europe. I have fresh ideas that could be presented to the growing market and the skills to implement them.
Unfortunately I would need a work permit in order to return to Zambia, but if we can clear that hurdle then my knowledge of the country, the workforce and the difficulties that can arise there, I think I would be a good investment in any ongoing concerns or new ventures.
